Of all the commemorative months and days on the calendar, Hispanic Heritage Month always holds a special place for us at The Writer’s Garret. We love the way this month serves as a rich reflection of North Texas’ strong Hispanic culture. We also love that The Wild Detectives and Deep Vellum Books, two independent bookstores who champion making books in translation accessible year-round, get a special opportunity to spotlight the rich variety of Spanish-language books they make available for North Texas. This month, we are excited to present a reading list as diverse and colorful as their countries of origin.
