ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Melissa’s first book, From Mom to Me Again: How I Survived My First Empty-Nest Year and Reinvented the Rest of My Life, was published July 5th by Sourcebooks. She also writes for newspapers and magazines, is an acquisitions editor for a literary agency, and occasionally teaches creative nonfiction to adults. Her essays and articles are about life’s journey — about the moments that speed by impossibly quickly, and the ones that are all too painfully slow. They’ve appeared in publications such as: The Washington Post, Reader’s Digest, Ladies’ Home Journal, Newsweek.com, The Huffington Post, Babble.com, scarymommy.com, goodmenproject.com, BetterAfter50.com, Table Magazine, The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and aired on Mother Earth News (formerly CNN Radio).
