Dear Friends of The Writer’s Garret:

Sometimes it’s hard to keep a secret. Especially when it’s a really good one.

When D magazine honored The Writer’s Garret as one of the Dallas’s “Best Kept Secrets” a number of years ago, we were downright proud to have been recognized and lauded for our work in promoting the literary arts. But being a “secret” has never been our goal. We’ve been working hard, growing in size, scope, and influence…enough so to have been named in 2006 the #1 literary organization in the state by the Texas Commission for the Arts. 

So it’s time we’re no longer anybody’s secret. We’re an active, thriving, and contributing member of the literary community of North Texas, and we want you to know more about us.
