Kathleen Rodgers' The Final Salute Saluted

Kathleen Rodgers, a Member of The Writer's Garret, has been awarded the 2009 Silver Medal for Historical Fiction from Military Writers Society Of America [MWSA] for her novel The Final Salute: Together We Live On (Leatherneck / Levin Publishing Group). Bill McDonald, reviewer and former Association President, writes in praise of the novel (set in and around Operation Desert Storm): "This book deals with the dangers of warfare; but it is the inner and outward emotional battles of her lead characters that keep the reader turning pages."
